About

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, sometimes successful, but mainly not.

I am happily married to Sabrina; we have three children: Sicily, Silas, and Sydney (yeah, we’re those kind of people).

I am a an aspiring science fiction novelist. I hope the “aspiring” part will be gone soon. I finished my first novel earlier this year, my second is in the works.

I used to think Calvinism was the best thing ever, now not so much. I believe the Apostle’s Creed. In particular, I fall somewhere between the London Baptist Confession and the Heidelberg, with a little Luther thrown in the mix.

I read N.T. Wright, John Owen, Martin Luther, Douglas Wilson, Charles Spurgeon, and Karl Barth. I don’t read Tim LaHaye, Rick Warren, or T.D. Jakes.

Tolkien and Lewis are my homeboys. So are Robert Jordan, Robert A. Heinlein, Ursula K. LeGuin, George R.R. Martin, and J.K. Rowling. Jerry Jenkins, Frank Peretti, and Ted Dekker, not so much.

I write because I have to. I write as a dialogue with myself. These are my essential posts. If you read, please comment.
